NTX2 Environmental Consulting
NTX2 Environmental Consulting, LLC, located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, is a full-service environmental consulting firm committed to technical excellence and finding cost effective solutions to today's environmental problems and requirements. Our services primarily cover the northeast geographic area, particularly Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Maryland and Delaware; however we have worked throughout the U.S. as well as internationally
Site Assessment & Remediation
NTX2 is one of the few environmental technology companies capable of successfully completing a project from the initial Environmental Assessment to full Remediation and Closure. Our demonstrated ability to address environmental issues from initial investigation to final remediation is based on a foundation of technical expertise with a sharp focus on client satisfaction.
We have access to two GeoProbe® units (truck-mounted hydraulic drive drills) which can quickly and efficiently collect soil, soil gas, and groundwater samples. These units are particularly useful as an initial screening method in site investigations to quickly assess the presence/extent of a contaminant plume without the expense of multiple drilling phases and unnecessary monitor well installation
Remedial Design & Construction Management
NTX2 provides complete design/build remediation services for long-term/full-scale installations, short-term/mobile trailer-based systems, and pilot tests. We are available to work as a prime or subcontractor, providing permitting, on-site representation, design assistance, and construction/operation services.
We have installed systems in confined spaces and have designed systems in conjunction with larger general construction projects, in retail store basements, under supermarkets, in the ceilings of warehouses, in vaults beneath roadways, in high-rise apartments, and in many gas stations and industrial facilities.
Vapor Intrusion & Indoor Air Quality
Vapor intrusion is the migration of volatile chemicals from the subsurface into overlying structures. Generally, this occurs when volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that have been released to soils and groundwater volatilize and migrate through the soil and along preferential pathways, eventually finding their way through building foundations and into the interior airspaces. The resulting vapor intrusion has the potential to cause acute and/or chronic health problems. For example, indoor air quality is a primary concern with regard to licensing daycare and senior housing facilities in New Jersey.
A typical vapor intrusion scenario might start with the release of a VOC from an industrial facility or petroleum product from a storage tank to underlying soils. As the contaminant migrates through soil and groundwater, vapors move upward toward the ground surface, potentially passing through building foundations and contaminating indoor air. The collection and analysis of subsurface soil vapor samples and indoor air samples, in conjunction with analytical modeling provides information as to whether or not a dangerous vapor intrusion problem exists. Interim remedial measures (mitigation) can be taken to immediately reduce vapor intrusion while a permanent system is designed and installed, or while the contaminant source is being remediated
Water Resources & Evaluation
NTX2 has been developing water supplies for townships, water authorities, municipalities and communities in southeastern Pennsylvania as well as in the tri-state area for many years.
Our experienced professionals are not only knowledgeable in the regulations of the Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC), the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP), the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC), the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC), and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), but agencies in the Southeast and the Midwest
